The Trophy Winners - Single Day Matches

50th ANNIVERSARY TROPHY (1973)

​

Presented by Mr. S. Boorman.

To be awarded to the winner of the first Club freshwater outing of the year.

From 1973 to 1998 this was known as the 25th Anniversary Cup.

The Trophy was first fished for in 1974.

THE ALISTAIR PURVES MEMORIAL TROPHY (2011)
Presented by Mrs. J. Wright in memory of her son Alistair Purves. To be awarded to the winner of the first

Junior freshwater outing of the year.

THE ASHURST CUP (1980)
Presented by Mr. B. L. Willson. To be awarded to the winner of a competition to be held annually on a river.

THE MAURICE ISTED MEMORIAL CUP (2018)

Presented by the Isted family in memory of Maurice who was a long standing club member

who supported Junior angling.

To be awarded to the Junior member with the heaviest weight in an annual match to be held at a venue of the

Junior Match Stewards choice.

This is a stand alone trophy that does not count in any way towards any other trophy.

THE LAWRENCE JUNIOR SHIELD (2015)
Presented by Mrs. S. Lawrence on behalf of Crowborough Tackle.

To be awarded to the Junior member with the heaviest weight in an annual competition held at a water of the

Junior Match Stewards choice. 

This is a stand alone trophy that does not count in any way towards any other trophy.

THE FRAMFIELD TROPHY (2011)
Presented by Mr. C. Sofianos to be awarded to the winner of a competition held annually at Framfield Park Fishery.

Prior to 2020 this was a stand alone trophy that did not count in any way towards any other trophy.
Prior to 2013 this trophy was presented to the winner of an annual match against East Grinstead Angling Society.

WILLIAMS FISH RACE (1976)
Presented by Mr. K. N. Williams. To be awarded to the winners of the annual Teams of Two Fish Race.

FIRST DIESEL JUNIOR SENIOR CHALLENGE CUP (2010)
Presented by Mr. D Cottington on behalf of First Diesel Injection. To be awarded to the winner of the annual pairs competition featuring one Senior and one Junior angler. This is a stand alone trophy that does not count in any way towards any other trophy.

FUR AND FEATHER COMPETITION (1969)
The last freshwater match of the calendar year, where the prizes are gift vouchers rather than a trophy.

THE BOORMAN CUP (1973)
Presented by Mr. P. Boorman. To be awarded annually to the member achieving the heaviest catch made on a

single sea boat trip.

Prior to 1989 the trophy was awarded to the winning team in the annual match against Blue Circle Angling Club.
