Membership

Junior anglers are very welcome within CDAA, in fact we actively encourage the recruitment and education of responsible young anglers. Up to (and including) the age of twelve, juniors are allowed to fish for free, provided they are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Between the ages of thirteen and eighteen juniors have their own membership category that allows them to fish unaccompanied in most cases.

Juniors should note that there are some waters where extra restrictions apply:
At Wirgol under 14's are allowed to fish with an adult member over 18 years of age present.
At More House Farm Fishery no under 14's are allowed to fish without an adult member over 18 years of age present.
At Gabriels Fishery no juniors under 16 are allowed to fish without an adult over 21 years of age present.

At Claygate Fisheries under 16's must be supervised by an adult.

Junior Matches

Each year the Club run a series of matches for junior anglers. The season begins in June with the Alistair Purves Memorial Trophy and then matches usually run fortnightly on a Saturday after that. In August we have The Frant Junior Shield and the matches culminate at the end of the summer with the First Diesel Junior Senior Challenge Cup.
